For those that have been struggling to get pregnant, this Mira Fertility Tracker works great. In this post I will discuss the features of this tracker along with some extra things I used to help me successfully conceive after struggling with infertility in the past.
I have a disease known as Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). It affects my hormones and causes some pretty crappy symptoms. Here are some things it casues with me:
Irregular Periods - Irregular periods may sound like just bleeding at irregular times, but this can include irregular ovulation. This is where the Mira Fertility Tracker came into play.
Unwanted Facial Hair - I literally have to pluck my stupid chin hairs every other day.
Weight Gain and extremely hard to lose weight
Joint Aches
Fatigue
Like I mentioned, this Mira Ferility Tracker helps you see when you are ovulating using some magic wands!
When you purchase the Mira Ferility Tracker here are the things you get:
Mira Fertility Tracking device with carrying case
Ferility Wands
Reusable Silicone Cup
Charging cord
Instructions on how to get it set up and how to use the app
There are several different types of wands available for this. It all depends on what your overall goal is.
Wand Types:
Fertility Plus - Tracks ovulation by measuring the LH (Luteinizing Hormone) and E3G (Estrogen) hormones.
Fertility Max - Tracks ovulation by measuring the LH, E3G, and PdG (essentially the Progesterone) hormones.
Ovum - Tracks the FSH (Follicale Stimulating Hormone) as your body prepares for ovulation. This hormone will decrease as you get older and as you get closer to menopause.
Each day you test allows you to get a better picture of your hormones and how much closer you are to ovulating. Here are my typical trends I noticed:
My E3G would start to go up.
E3G would spike and then start to go down as my LH starts to go up
Within approximately 24 hours of E3G spiking, my LH would spike. I did some research and doctors suggest that actual ovulation is within 12 hours of LH spike. My husband and I conceived when my LH spiked one morning and we did the deed that morning also. God’s timing!!
When you use your test wands, it takes 16 minutes for the machine to analyze the results. Once the machine is done, it will beep and the numbers will flash on the screen. Open up the app, making sure it is connected to your machine via bluetooth, then you will see the results on the wonderful chart. Again, as you continue to test each day and month, you will start to see a trend happening.
The app is nice because it will take a lot of the guess work out of your cycle. It will anaylize what is happening based on your hormone levels.
It is so easy to test. I typically did it during my first mornings urination, however, the hormones should be at that level regardless of first urination or second or third.
Here are the steps I took:
Grab all items (device, wand, cup) and go into the bathroom.
Use cup to catch urine.
Open wand, dip into urine to max line and hold for 10 seconds.
Take cap off one end and place it on the other end (that was dipped in the urine).
Slide the wand into the slot on the machine, using the end without the cap.
Wait a very long 16 minutes.
Once it beeps, you can open the Mira app to view your results.
When you need to test more you can purchase the wands separately.
Ovum Wands (come in a pack with Fertility Max Wands)
While my husband and I were trying for a baby I used the Mira Fertility Tracker along with Eu Natrual Conception supplements. We were able to conceive on the 3rd cycle!!
If you are starting your fertility journey, I wish you nothing but luck and pray that God will bless you.
