Who loves a great cup of coffee!? Who loves saving some money!? Me and Me!!
Here are some things I do to save money but still enjoy a good cup of joe…at home.
My husband and I LOVE coffee. We must have a cup or two to just function in the morning. We use our Ninja Coffeemaker in the mornings and pretty much all weekend also. It works great for just making a single cup or an entire pot of coffee. This coffeemaker can make cold brew coffee as well as hot and cold teas.
I do love this mushroom coffee also from Four Sigmatic. It has about half the caffiene a regular cup of coffee has. I haven’t done much research on mushrooms, such as Chaga and Lions Mane, but they are supposed to have some great health benefits. Super easy to make even when still half asleep in the morning. Just add a scoop to 8oz of boiling water and mix!
Every once in a while my favorite store has some interesting flavors in K-cups so I got this Manual K-cup press. Super easy to use. I usually like to make a cup with 8-10oz of boiling water, press it through and voila!!
I love this Espresso Machine for making some fancy drinks. My husband love to get Americanos which is espresso with hot water. I, on the other hand, love a good latte. This machine will froth your milk for you and dispense it into your cup for you with the espresso. It is fully automatic, with the exception of needing to put the espresso grounds in the filter baskets.
This cold brew maker is my favorite during the warmer months here in the midwest. I LOVE cold brew coffee with some ice and a good amount of my creamer below. To make this cold brew it is so easy, just add ground coffee and some water. Let it sit for 24 hours and then let is drain over the glass container. Once drained put the cold brew in the fridge. I add some water to the cold brew as I make my cup each day but it all depends on your flavor preference.
If you like your coffee black then you can skip this section. However, if you are like me I like a little creaminess with my coffee. I used to just put plain heavy whipping cream in my coffees because I didn’t want added sugar or carbs but I wanted a little more flavor so I decided to create my own creamer.
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup almond milk (use whatever milk you would like, mainly to thin out the heavy cream)
2 tablespoons sugar free syrup
In a regular mouth mason jar mix equal amounts heavy whipping cream and almond milk (you can use any kind of milk you would like). To the cream/milk mixture I add about 2 tablespoons sugar free syrup, I like the Vanilla or Hazelnut flavors the best. Add as little or as much flavoring as your taste buds prefer.
I found these pour spout tops with handles for the jars that work great.
Again, who doesn’t love coffee especially while saving money and all in the comfort of your own home. Hope you enjoyed these ideas!!
