Who doesn’t love a good smoked pulled pork or bacon wrapped jalapenos!? Lets explore some amazing things to make on the smoker.
A few years back my husband and I purchased a pellet smoker. We had an electric one previously but wanted something better. We didn’t have near enough money for a Pit Boss or any big brand like that. We found a deal on a Z Grill. We had never heard of that brand before but we gave it a try.
This Z Grill Pellet smoker has been the BEST smoker we have ever had. When it is actually nice here in the midwest, which is only about 4-5 nice months out of the year, we use it all the time. During the winter we still use it a few times but in the garage, which still isn’t ideal.
The Z Grill Pellet smoker is so easy to use and some great features:
Automatic Temperature Control - set it to the temp you want it at and it stays around that temp. It does vary about 10 degrees warmer or cooler depending on the cycle it is going through.
Large Hopper - can hold up to 10 pounds of pellets. During a smoking session I like to check the hopper every couple hours to make sure the pellets are not getting too low. When pellets need to be added simply lift the lid on the hopper and pour them in.
Lightweight Design - the smoker itself isn’t very heavy at all and has wheels on it so it can easliy be moved around, if needed.
Large Cooking Surface - the surface area is fairly large, especially for what I smoke on it. I have been able to do two 9 pound pork butts at once on it and there is still some space on it.
Here are some of our of our favorite smoker recipes that we make on our Z Grill Pellet smoker:
